We had football pictures taken this morning. Since it was the first time Zane was actually all suited up, I did a little photo shoot here at the house before heading out.

Meet the Teacher - 1st Grade

A first grader ... we are the parents of a first grader! We meet Zane's 1st grade teacher tonight. I am so pleased with his teacher, Mrs. Jonas. I think we are going to be highly impressed! She seems very energetic & compassionate. Patrick & I both look forward to seeing the strides Zane will make this year!

Football in the MUD means RAIN!

We got RAIN! And we had a Saturday morning practice so the boys were able to have some fun playing in the mud.
Those practice pants are normally white! We needed the rain SO bad, there were no complaints here, just some Shout & bleach!

From the looks of that smile, someone had some fun!

Berkley's BIG girl room

The baby girl of the house has a BIG girl bed! Berkley has always been a great sleeper as far as sleeping in her own bed, actually she will ONLY sleep in her crib! Since she was 3 in April, we have been trying to get her to move from her crib into a bed. Aunt Rae gave her a really cute lamp from Carlee & Kenzie's old room so Princess Berkley finally gave in!

We are very proud of her! She goes to sleep in her bed & stays there until morning time! She truly is a BIG girl! We love you Berkley Boo & mommy, daddy & bubba are so proud of you getting a big girl bed!

Fall means FOOTBALL, Ponder Lion Football

We now have a Ponder Lion football player in the house! Zane is pumped about being a Ponder Lion this year! He is full of Ponder Pride! This is Zane's first year to play football. Ponder does not have a flag football team at any age so it is tackle for these boys as soon as they begin! There were not enough boys to have a 1st grade team so they combined 1st & 2nd grade to form the Ponder Lions 2nd Grade Football Team!

We have been having temperatures between 105 & 110 degrees! It has been HOT! Patrick & I have been so proud of Zane he has not complained a single time about the heat! His team practices 3 nights a week for at least 2 hours each practice. Did I mention it is HOT?! The first practice was on August 2nd & these boys have been in FULL PADS since the 2nd practice which was August 4th!

We look forward to a great season! Zane is so excited to be a Ponder Lion & he can't wait to "wrestle poeple"!

Football Practice has began!

Football has officially began! Yep, 110 degree Texas heat & these boys are going at it full force! Second practice & they are full pads & going all out! I'm so proud of Zane! He has not complained a single time! He hit the field ready to play some FOOTBALL!

The first game is August 27th. At this time they are practicing 3 days a week, 2 hours each practice. It has been HOT ... and I mean 109-110 degrees at 6:00pm & not letting up by the time we leave at 8:00pm. These boys are really working hard! I am just thrilled that he likes it!
