1st grade Field Trip to the Zoo

The 1st grade field trip this year was to the Fort Worth Zoo. I was able to attend and had Zane and his buddy Creed in my group. I will say, I was pretty darn lucky! Creed is a good kid! It was lots of fun, a great day!

 I remember always loving field trips when I was in school. My mom wasn't able to attend due to work so I am glad I get the opportunity to go along with Zane and join in on the fun. It is always a great learning experience and gets the kids out of the classroom and into a different environment. I have always worried about my kids going off to school, putting them into the hands of someone else ... call me a control freak, call me whatever you want, but in the long run call me a mommy. I will say that Ponder ISD calms my fears and worries a little. I know my son is in good hands with some great people!

As hard as it is to believe, our baby girl is FOUR! Berkley Maris choose to celebrate her 4th birthday at none other than Chuck-E-Cheese! She had a great time & we cannot thank our family & friends enough for joining in on her big day! She loves Scooby Doo & wanted a Scooby Doo party so that's what she got! Happy 4th Birthday Baby Girl!

Berkley Marie - I cannot believe it has been 4 years since you joined our family! You are such a beautiful, stubborn, smart, & joyful child! I love that you give 100% in anything that you do! You LOVE animals, especially horses, dogs & cats! You love your big brother more than words can say! You give the best bear hugs & you know it! You love your cousins & think they all hung the moon! You are so smart! You love to color & write, anything that has to do with learning! You are the best mommy to your babies but you can sure hold your own when it comes to Nerf guns, hunting & ball games! You play hard & sleep even harder! Tonight in Pilot Point, guess who got the game ball? Yep, you're right! Our #6, WHOOP, WHOOP! Way To Go Zayner!

Reason for being the game ball winner: great hitting & almost catching a fly ball in the outfield (by almost, I mean he ran, got under it, it hit inside his glove & popped right out!)!

Baseball season has started & we all know I LOVE me some baseball! So all in all that means many, many more pictures to come! We are ready for a great season! Zane has a great coach that we are very excited about & he is with a great group of boys! Let's go Ponder Lions!

Easter Sunday

On Easter Sunday, my cousin joined us with his two children for church & then time at my mom's house. Zane & Ramey Mae are only a week apart, & together they are like twins ... friends one minute & fighting like cats & dogs the next. She holds her own, that's for sure! It was nice to have them & I think they had a great time!

Easter at my mom's is always a big hit! My mom prepares for quite some time, stuffing eggs, getting lottery tickets, money, candy, toys ... you name it, these kids get it! We always meet up after church for lunch & Easter festivities!

 Easter is always a great time with family for us! We love to celebrate the TRUE meaning of Easter ... HE has RISEN! I am glad that my kids enjoy going to church & learning the great things that Christ has done for all of us! Happy Easter to all of you!
