It's a "Kaleb thing"! AHS Homecoming 2008

AHS HOMECOMING 2008

We Heart Kaleb #8!

For those of you who don't know who Kaleb is, he is my 17 year old nephew. He is a Junior at Aubrey High School, which is where all my siblings & I graduated from. Patrick, the kids, & I attended the AHS Homecoming game last night & had a great time. The kids did wonderful! Zane had a blast hanging out with Carlee, Kenzie, & their friends. And I greatly appreciated their entertaining him!

This is the outfit I made for Berkley! We call it her "Kaleb wear"!
She LOVES #8!
And, boy does she look like big brother here!
Zane playing in the bounce house before the game.

Funny story regarding this cheerleading outfit. This is my sister Lerae's best friend's daughter. My mother made these cheerleading outfits, get this, 31 YEARS ago for thier squad! Karen still had hers so her daughter wore it to the game. How priceless is this???!!!
Zane wearing his ball cap "homie" style. (We have no clue where he got this idea!)
Carlee (my niece) & Berkley
Kaleb talking to the press. He made a touchdown!
Kaleb & Berkley -- Too cute! She looks so little, & he's not little anymore! :(
Zane wearing Kaleb's helmet. He thought he was HOT stuff!
Kaleb & his cute little girlfriend, Kaitlyn. Her shirt read, "#8 on the field, #1 in my heart".
Happy baby girl!

Kisses from Kaleb
I had to make him "re-do" so I could get a better picture! I LOVE this one!
Can you tell how much she loves to be loved on!?
Precious little princess!
Patrick, Berkley & I -- Zane was running around
Daddy & baby girl
Zane & Carlee -- Looks like a "couples" picture.
Zane loves playing with Clay too!
Kissing cousins - Zane loves Carlee (& Kenzie)!!
As you can tell our handsome little man had a BLAST! I cannot tell you how much he loves his cousins. It makes coming from a big family that much sweeter. And they love him just as much as he adores them!

Favorite Foto Friday #11

The theme for FFF is silly smiles. I couldn't think of any right off the bat, but these did come to mind. For those of you who know my little man, you know that we often get him to do things by telling him NOT to do them & to get him not to do something, we tell him to do it. Reverse psychology! These pictures immediately came to mind when reading about this weeks theme.

"Say Cheese."
"Don't smile at me!" (And I love his REAL smile in this picture, not the typical cheesy smile.)

The following two were taken of baby girl today. We had to run into town to pick up her 5 month pictures from JC Penney's . Before leaving, I snapped these adorable ones. Thank you to the Murdock's for this hand-me-down dress, ADORABLE!

Princess Berkley Marie
To get her to smile -- talk to her! She loves it! And anytime big brother talks to her, she gives the biggest smile ever!

We are heading to the Aubrey Homecoming football game tonight. Berkley is going to be decked out in her "Kaleb wear". My nephew, Kaleb, is a Junior at Aubrey, & we haven't seen him play once this year. We will be there tonight, cheering him on all the way! GO KALEB! Check back on Monday to see Berkley sporting her "Kaleb wear".

San Antonio, Texas

We had a great (& much needed) time in San Antonio! I think the highlight of the trip was Zane's face at Sea World. He loves animals & had a wonderful time seeing all the dolphins, whales, sea lions, alligators, & much more. The little princess did well too. It was a perfect weekend! Zane also loved the Riverwalk. Each night we took him out to walk up & down the Riverwalk. We rarely take vacations as Patrick's company stays pretty busy, & the time is just never right. When he told me to make reservations, I jumped on it! What a wonderful time away we had!

Princess Berkley is 5 months old!
Mommy & Zane at the Alamo. He wanted to chase the pigeons rather than take a picture.
He wanted to ride the cannon!
Patrick's favorite place to eat on the Riverwalk is Cafe Ole' due to the 60 ounce margaritas they serve!
Zane saw a puppy on the Riverwalk & HAD to play with him!
We saw Sally on the Riverwalk. (She was there for a nursing conference.) She told Zane to have mommy & daddy get him some ice cream.
Baby girl with Daddy.
Zane & Berkley. (No bow, ughhh! Daddy gets SICK of them!)
Daddy with his babies

Princess Berkley watching the dolphins. (She was really smiling at Zane!)
Zane loves horses, too!
We were at Dolphin Cove watching the dolphins at feeding time.
Zane feeding a dolphin! He thought this was REALLY cool!
Watching the sharks & other cool fish.
She is so precious!
Zane & Shamu (or Shampoo as he says it).
This just amazes me! How fun would this job be??? When Zane saw Shamu make his debut, he turned to me & said, "Mom, him's SO big!"

How cute is baby girl??? Playing with her little toes!

A last minute trip

On Thursday, we decided to take a last minute family vacation. We headed out on Thursday & came home today. We took the kids to San Antonio as Zane has been saying since the beginning of summer, "I want to see the big whale & the baby dolphin." We stayed on the Riverwalk & took a visit to Sea World. Berkley didn't like okay on the travel, but she hardly slept at all. She is very glad to be home. Other than not sleeping much, she did wonderful! She is a great baby! While gone, we didn't get on-line at all. I took tons of pictures but haven't had time to upload any of them. Please check back in a couple of days to see our trip.

Starla is doing better. They doubled her lasik pills once again. She has lost 20 pounds since Saturday. WHOOOO! She is returning to work tonight. Please continue to pray for her. The results of her biopsy are not in, which will hopefully give an idea of what is truly going on.

Have a great week!

Favorite Foto Friday #10

I am finally finding some much needed time to post some pictures of my babies. We have already had a little of a rough day. I took Berkley today to get her pictures made. Thinking it was going to be cheap with my JC Penny coupon. In the parking lot, a teenage girl was flat not paying attention & hit my car on Berkley's side. Put complete terror in me. I was very thankful that she was not hurt & didn't even seem to notice we were hit. We weren't hit very hard, but with a 5 month old you never know since they can't exactly tell you. I immediate ran to her door & opened it to find her chewing on the string to her paci-attacher. I am very thankful that no one involved was hurt. Patrick was outside mowing so I couldn't contact him. We didn't call the police, as I was able to get her information with no problems. I will call tomorrow & get a claim going since there was obvious damage done to the Tahoe. Just so very thankful that everyone was okay! Praise God! And Berkley's pictures were precious. We are having family pictures taken in October. Berkley will be 6 months old, but the two outfits I have picked for her to get her pictures made in are already fitting snugly & family pictures are already a month away! Check out my babies below!

We finally got Berkley's exercauser together.
This is the rocker my mother purchased for Berkley. I LOVE it! She looks so tiny in the big toddler rocker.
"BLESSED" that is what I am to be the mother of this baby girl (and Zane). Berkley is no longer wanting the ugly green paci, she likes this one! Precious!

Zane giving mommy kisses!
Mommy & her handsome little man. Cowgirl Berkley - Zane put his cowboy hat on baby girl.
Our happy little cowgirl sporting brother's cowboy hat!
My sister, Starla, is doing about the same. She has been released from the hospital with hopes of finding out the results of her biopsy tomorrow (Monday). She is still very sick. Please pray for good results & that the doctor's are able to determine what is going on.

Mom is doing well also. I think she has 4 weeks of radiation left. Patrick's parents headed back to the Houston area this morning & will be without electricity for a while. We are not sure of their plans yet, as it depends on how things go. A neighbor was able to access the damage, & there was mainly "junk" in the yard. Very fortunate nothing more occurred.

Have a great week!
