Little Momma

Berkley Marie has turned into a little momma lately. She is constantly taking care of her babies, these two babies pictured with her below. I am amazed at how well she takes care of these little ones. She makes sure they are sitting up straight, gives them a bottle & paci, makes sure that her big brother does not take their chairs away, loves on them, puts them "night-night" (of which 1 sleeps on its tummy & the other on its back every night), folds their blankets, covers them up, & she loves pushing them in the stroller & shopping carts.

She is a proud little momma too!

We went to my mom's house on Sunday. Berkley had taken her own baby (the one in pink) and she always plays with 2 dolls at my mom's house. She came out of my mom's room & I asked her, "Berk, where are your babies?" She replied, "Memaw babysit!"

4th of July

The week prior to the 4th of July we packed up the camper & headed to Thousand Trails. We were there all week & had a great deal of fun! We always look forward to the fireworks show but it was rained out this year. Bummer! We packed up July 4th & headed to Aubrey for a cookout with my mom & family. :-)

At the beginning of the week, Berkley was a little shy of the water. She wanted help getting in & out.

She gradually got used to it. Zane LOVES the water & always has! He is swimming really good this year, even going to the bottom of the pool & picking items up!
Each day she got braver & braver. By day 3 this is what she was doing .... not scared at all!

It has been such a joy watching Zane progress each summer with his swimming.S'mores! Think she likes them?

4th of July at Memaw's house

Berkley LOVES my nephew, Norman! She always wants him to tote her around. He's not really into babies/toddlers so it is funny to watch most of the time.

Lake Ray Roberts Fun

Those who know me know I LOVE the lake! I love summer time in general, but I love being at the lake, on the lake, in the lake, etc. The kids & I met a friend & her kids up at Lake Ray Roberts a few weeks ago & let's just say, I think my kids may enjoy the lake as much as their mommy does!

Bowling Fun

In early June, a couple of my nephews & one of my nieces stayed the night. I decided the following morning to take all the kids bowling. I knew Zane would LOVE it, & he did! It was his first bowling experience, & he can't wait to go back.

He was proud of himself! Berkley ate popcorn & watched the rest of us. And the winner was .... ME (with a whole 100)!

I will admit, bowling is not my strongest sport, but it's fun & all the kids highly enjoyed it!

Marisa Swarbrick Photography - Taken May 25th, 2010

On May 25th, I had the kids pictures taken by a friend of mine, Marisa Swarbrick Photography. We didn't do 2 year & 5 year photos so I thought I would use this as the opportunity. The kids were VERY uncooperative! We took them on the square in Denton, which allowed me to do a little bit of bribing with Beth Marie's Old Fashion ice cream! (YUMMY!) Here's what we got:

We thought if I got in a few that Berkley might be a little more into it ... not so much.
I just loved the next two. It melts my heart to watch them laugh!
