Trunk or treating

We took the kids to a "trunk or treat" at the First Baptist Church in Ponder. It is a community event, & I am so excited to join this community! For those of you who aren't familiar with trunk or treating, it is when people park their cars around a certain area & pass out candy from the trunk! Zane really enjoyed it while Berkley got a sucker & socialized with anyone she could find to say "Hi" to!
Zane the Transformer Optimus

Berkley the Zebra Madison (Pirate Princess) & Zane Zane really enjoyed the games & candy.

Berkley enjoyed the sucker & running wild!

Zane did his first cake walk! Bounce house fun!

Ice Cream & Trees

One afternoon last week, the kids & I were heading for an afternoon walk & we heard an ICE CREAM TRUCK! Is that not cool?! It had been years since I had heard that music coming down the road & all that ice cream! The kids completely LOVED it!

Can you tell this little Princess has been missing out on ice cream!?

It ended up in her hair too! And Zane has always loved ice cream! Baby girl not only sported a black eye, but while having our family pictures taken she tripped & fell in the studio & BUSTED HER LIP! We have a couple of trees in our yard. They are pretty tall so we have to assist Zane in them, but he recently decided he LOVES being in the trees! On another day, he wanted to act like he was falling!

Slowly but surely (or eventually)

With all this rain - The house is coming along very slow. We were hoping to be in by Thanksgiving, then we pushed it off to Christmas, & now after the 1st of the year. So, slowly but surely it will be ready --- but it will so be worth the wait!

Cassidy Family - October 2009

We had our annual family pictures taken on Sunday with Pallone Portraits out of North Richland Hills. I was a little worried about the results, as it was a session with 2 crazy kids. Berkley had a black eye prior to picture day. While in the middle of our photo session, she fell & busted her lip! Nothing to worry about 'cause they turned out great!

This was the ONLY shot we got of the kids together.

I pictures of Zane really captured his personality.

These were the sneak peaks sent to me today. Most of you will be getting your copy via Christmas cards!

Meet Rex

Meet the newest member of the Cassidy clan - - - Rex! He is an adorable 4 month old Cocker Spaniel! He was born on June 16th, 2009. (That is also Patrick & I's anniversary!) I grew up with a black Cocker Spaniel named Bo. He was seriously the best dog ever. He NEVER had an accident in the house & was always very smart. I have been wanting to get the kids an indoor dog for some time now, & I just love Cockers. I have been looking on-line, & last night I came across Rex! I fell in love with this adorable face the moment I saw his picture! I also wanted to puppy already big enough for the kids to play with without stressing over broken puppy bones! I emailed the breeder & talked to her this morning. The moment she told me that Rex was already crate trained & that she had 6 children in her home, I knew Rex would fit right in. (Our two are like having many more!)

The kids & I drove to Azle at 4:00pm & brought sweet Rex home. (Patrick wasn't able to come with us because he had to sign a contract on some hunting land in Ivan. More to come on that later.) Rex did have a hard time with the car ride, throwing up 3 times & pooping in the floor board! YUCK! But since arriving home, Rex has had ZERO accidents & did wonderful in the crate while we had dinner with Patrick's parents. Check out the newest member of the Cassidy family below!

Rex has chased Zane around the yard today. Berkley thinks it is hilarious! It looks like these two are going to be great, energetic pals! Princess Berkley LOVES the dog crate! He's a little more hairy than I would have liked so he will go to the groomer on Monday for a "Cocker cut". I will post pictures after his make over! I must go & love on this little guy before he gets too attached to Patrick!

How bout some Chaparral Football?

How 'bout some Aubrey Chaparral football?! Texas football is crazy! (I mean peewee teams reviewing game tapes crazy!) It is very exciting in Aubrey America when it comes to football. Coach GA Moore has done a terrific job with these boys & is really showing why he is the "winningest high school football coach" in Texas. The Aubrey Chaparrals are currently 6-0! That is exciting stuff!

My nephew Kaleb is a Varsity football player! He is enjoying soaking up the football fun & excitement this year!

Memaw, Berkley & Nolan enjoying Little Norman's football game. He is in the 6th grade. Go Norman! A pretty little snow princess! If you don't live in the South, you just don't understand Texas football!

Not alot going on

There has really not been a whole lot going on in the Cassidy home. Well, I mean we do have RAIN, and LOTS of it! Which leaves us indoors way too much! I do love Fall! And it has been especially fun dressing Berkley Marie in adorable Fall outfits! The house is still going, sitting on hold with all this rain, but going. Whenever possible, work is being done. Patrick is even out there learning to frame in his spare time. It may be a while, but it will happen & we will be very pleased with the outcome! Can't wait!

Here is Berkley in cute little animal print pants.

Of course, Zane MUST sport "hunting colors" (olive)! I just LOVE this outfit! Berkley's shirt says "Rock & Roll Forever" in bling. The pants have wings & vines going down the legs with pink hearts that have ribbon reading "Rock & Roll". The jacket matches the hearts on the pant legs. And I adore the zebra & pink shoes! The kids were to go to the pumpkin patch on Thursday with their Mother's Day Out classes. It has seriously been raining TOO MUCH! I think we are going to opt out of that. Patrick & I always take them to the Pumpkin Patch in Argyle that is really neat, so we will be doing that. But this mean mom refuses to chase two little ones through the swampy pumpkin patch!!!!
