Christmas Day

We had a wonderful Christmas Day. Zane didn't wake up until 9:00. He was laying in bed so very quietly so I asked him, "What is today?" He replied, "Christmas Day." I then said, "Well, you better come look, I think Santa came!" He jumped out of bed, ran into the living area, & said very sweetly, "For me? This is for me?" I guess he really has no concept of time. He has been looking at presents he can't unwrap for weeks, so he didn't realize that it was time to open them. After assuring him that the presents were for him, he quickly began digging through them & even helped Berkley.

Daddy & Zane putting out reindeer food that Uncle Jeff & Aunt Rae gave him.

He sprinkled it all over the yard. Our tree Christmas morning. "For me??" An excited little man! Berkley checking out her stuff. Helping Berkley unwrap her presents. Awww .... a baby doll! My babies enjoying themselves Christmas Day! I hope you all had a very MERRY CHRISTMAS! We had such a relaxing day! (Good thing since the Princess of the house was up all night screaming, literally for 3 hours straight. I thought I was going to have to take her to the ER. I guess she freaked from the crowd Christmas Eve at my mom's & was utterly exhausted. She slept 13 hours the following night.) It was nice to hang out all day in our pajamas & worrying about nothing but opening up the new toys in the house!

Christmas Eve with Memaw ... SANTA!!!

This is why I LOVE Christmas --- Family!
Memaw (my mother) makes a HUGE deal out of Christmas, even having Santa visit! It is a HUGE thing & the place to be on Christmas Eve! Memaw has always made Christmas time special for all of us & all her grandchildren! EVERYONE gets their picture with Santa before heading home to wait on his arrival at their own homes!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM THE CASSIDY FAMILY!

Again, I LOVE the holidays, Christmas being my very favorite! I cannot tell you how excited I am this year. Zane is SO into his gifts, although not much on his Santa list (deers & guns). I know Christmas morning he will be so very surprised & will have so much fun! And he is into giving too. He gets some of the gifts & says, "Who is this to?"

I LOVED our holiday card this year. I ordered them off of etsy.com from Paperramma. Very neat idea: I chose a card, e-mailed the pictures & wording, & then was sent a proof via e-mail. After approving the card, I was sent a high resolution file to upload to a website of my choice for printing. Wonderful! I love them!

And the festivities begin ...

We have finally began our Christmas gatherings. We celebrated Christmas with my dad, step-mother, & half-sister last night at Lerae's. We all had a great time!

The first few pictures are of Princess Berkley in an outfit my mother got for her. Adorable! After going to church with Renae & my mom, we stopped by Lerae's house so the girls & Kaleb could love on her. (Daddy & Zane were hunting.)

We have great neighbors ....

As many of you know we live on a street just outside the city limits with about 14 houses or so. We are all on 2.5 or 5 acre sections, so none of that house-on-house stuff going on. All our neighbors have children our age, so they are older than Patrick & I. I must say we have some GREAT neighbors! They have been so wonderful to us this year: delivering gifts for Berkley, delivering food upon her arrival, sitting with Zane when Berkley was hospitalized with whooping cough, & bringing more food when Berkley was sick. A BIG, BIG thank you to all of them! We are very blessed! Each of our neighbors treat Zane & Berkley as if they were their own grand-children: playing with them, hugging on them, praising them, etc.

So Zane & I delivered them some Christmas cookies this week. Zane LOVED it! He was running house to house as fast as he could. He would take the card, carry the cookie container (dropping it a few times), ring the doorbell & say "Happy Christmas!" He LOVED it!

I just LOVE Christmas time! Only 2 weeks to go!

Just another day at the Cassidy house ....

Well, since my last post, my mood is SOOO much better! I have felt well today, none of that icky sinus stuff. YEAH! So I do believe I am out of my negative mood & back into the holiday spirit. I put the new camera back to work yesterday & this morning. It really is a pain trying to switch cameras & learn something new. I am hoping to get it down soon enough. I know this is a lot of pictures, but I couldn't decide which to leave out. Lucky you ... you get to see them all!
(Christina: Still grainy. But thanks for the information, very helpful. The shadowing is better, but I need to work on the ISO now with the grainess. Thanks again!)

Berkley
I think this face is so very cute & funny.
Just plain cuteness.
Beautiful blue eyes.
I got this outfit off e-bay for 6.99 at a Boutique site. Too cute!
She's a doll!

My little CowKids.
Sweet baby girl.
Watch out, there's a new sheriff in town!

Berkley has some dry skin stuff going on. I never really had this problem with Zane, except his cheeks. Berkley seems to have some Eczema, but the pedi gave us some cream & it still hasn't cleared up. When giving me the cream, he told me if this didn't work to switch to a dye & perfume free detergent & do the same with her bathing soap & lotion. So we are now switching the laundry soap & have switched to Aveeno baby supplies. Her little elbows & cheeks are so dry & red. I am hoping this does the trick!

Glad to be feeling better.
