Christmas Day 2009

The kids really enjoyed Christmas Day here at the house. Santa brought lots of good stuff for them. Zane's big Santa gifts were a bike & a remote control dinosaur. Berkley's big Santa gifts were a kitchen & twin baby dolls that talk to one another. Then they both racked up on stuff from mom & dad.

Santa came

The first thing Berkley did was grab Zane's bike! Zane helping Berkley open a present.

Zane opening something fun from mom & dad.

It took Berkley a very long time to unwrap her shopping cart from mom & dad. She would tear off a piece of paper & then put it in the trash & come back for more. Zane got TONS of Transformers! Patrick & I transformed Transformers for HOURS! Berkley unwrapping her walking baby doll. Spike the Ultra Dinosaur was a HIT! He lights up, roars, walks, stands on his hind legs, swings his tail & neck, & eats off the floor. He is pretty cool!As you all know, I LOVE Christmas! It is hard to believe it has been here & gone! Where does the time go? What a wonderful Christmas 2009 we had!

Christmas Eve at Memaw's house

Christmas Eve we got out in the snow & headed to Memaw's house. We had a WONDERFUL time! I have said it before, but my mom's house is the place to be on Christmas Eve. There are kids everywhere, stockings galore, & lots of laughing & food. This year Santa didn't hand out the stockings like he normally does (see Christmas Eve 2008 ), but it was still a great time for all the kids. (I don't think the kids even asked about Santa!)

My mom has always done wonders with stockings. I remember as a kid being so excited about my stocking. All the grandkids LOVE going to Memaw's to see what they got in their stocking. Then each child finds a place & dumps his/her stocking out to see what kind of goodies they received. It is a wonderful sight to see!

Berkley in her beautiful dress (as Zane put it) before heading to Memaw's.

Zane before heading to Memaw's (notice the Spider man gloves) Berkley digging into her stocking stuff. Kenzie got a make-up case filled with all kinds of make-up & brushes. Berkley & Mommy More stuff for Princess Berkley Zane digging in April made each of us girls & my mom a "Family" frame with a picture of each of us on our wedding day. Here I am explaining the frame to Nolan & Zane. Jessica, Malynn, Mark & Memaw Memaw digging into her stocking. Well 1 of her stockings; she ended up with 3! We bathed the kids & put them in their pajamas Memaw got them before venturing out into the snow for a LONG, icy trip home. Carlee, Memaw, Lerae, & Kenzie Lerae, Memaw, me, & Starla

White Christmas

If you've ever dreamed of a white Christmas, you got it this year! Can you believe we had snow on Christmas Eve?! In Texas?! It was beautiful! It made for some bad driving conditions & being cooped up in the house a little long, but again BEAUTIFUL!!!!
Yes, I know this picture of Zane makes me look like Super Mom, but he begged & begged to go out in the snow for a picture. It was about a 10 second process but he got his picture!

Christmas with Papa Jerry

Tuesday night we headed over to Lerae & Jeff's house for our Christmas gathering with Papa Jerry (my dad). We all had a great time!

Papa Jerry, Sherry, Berkley, Kaleb, Zane, Hardy, & Jeff

Zane in front of Aunt Rae's Christmas tree. Berkley doesn't stand still for long these days, so here she is with me in front of Aunt Rae's tree. Berkley loves to stare at Kaleb. Every time he walks away from her, she yells "HEY" for him to come back & give her kisses. Zane & Uncle Hardy

Christmas with the Peppers

We headed over to the Pepper's house last Monday to see their amazing set up. I am not kidding when I say AMAZING! They have a village set up with snow, cars, streets, people, even hunters, & two trains circling the area. It is awesome! We all love it & leave talking about it for weeks!

Zane being a deer!

Here is a picture showing a portion of the set up. The cheesier! Berkley got a little scared each time the trains came through. She would run & sit in someones lap until they went back into the tunnels and began coming out again. Thank you to Chris & Debby for having us!

Happy Birthday Jesus!

At Mother's Day Out, the kids had their HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS party today! I helped out in Berkley's room so I didn't get many pictures of Zane. I was trying to run back & forth when I could. I ended up missing Zane's class decorating their cupcakes.

One of Berkley's teachers had to leave a little early so I filled in. Berkley's teachers always tell me how perfect she is. She never gets in trouble, & they say she usually sits & watches the others. Well today with me filling in, one of her teachers was in shock over Miss Priss! She became the paci theif while I was there, she threw a toy or two, & when moving down the hall she ran off! Needless to say, she got her first trip to time-out today at school!

Berkley is ready for a cupcake!

Zane's class singing Christmas songs She was all over the cupcake! Zane with his best buddy Thomas This was the best I could do! Little Missy demands carrying her own backpack so it takes us forever to get out of the church with her dragging it to the car! I LOVE Christmas! It was nice attending the kids parties. We have been in the spirit of Christmas, but we have not been able to decorate like we normally do. I love looking at Christmas decorations! I love the cute ornaments! We get at least 1 of the Hallmark ornaments each year for each of the kids & one for us. We have a 9.5 foot Christmas tree that we normally put up & it won't fit in our rental home (unless we wanted to look like the Griswold's)! I did get us a smaller tree, & with no where to go tonight I think we are going to get it put up!
