Santa & ICE 2011

About a week and a half ago, we took the kids to the Gaylord in Grapevine to see Santa & the ICE exhibit! FUN! We had never had Santa pictures taken here nor had we ever done the famous ICE exhibit that everyone talks about. I must say, I think we have a new Christmas tradition! LOVED it!

Zane asked Santa for a duck hunt game & Berkley asked Santa for a pink gun & a pink game! (Zane got the same toy last year & we had to return it because it didn't work. Berkley has had her mind made up since this summer & no one is changing her mind!)The theme for the ICE exhibit this year was Shrek

1st Grade Christmas Party

On December 14th I was able to attend Zane's class Christmas party! FUN! Rather than exchange a book or gift, they all brought a stocking stuffer & stuffed stockings. I thought it was a cute idea & Zane LOVED it!

Santa visits Berkley at daycare

Santa made a visit to Berkley's daycare! Once again, she was sure to tell him she wanted a pink gun & a pink game!

Ponder Elementary Christmas Program

Zane's Christmas program at school was rather cute! We are very fortunate to live in a district that isn't afraid to keep God in their schools! It is nice to live in a district with Christian values & it is nice to have Zane in a school where Christmas is not focused on but not afraid to make known the birth of Jesus Christ! The 1st graders did cute little songs. Zane isn't much of a singer & pretty much "protested" the entire concert but he did stand with his class and look handsome!

I'm sure you noticed the black-eye Berkley is sporting! She was on Zane's back & he head-butted her! That thing is horrible! And it has stayed black for 3 weeks before even beginning to heal! Poor baby!

Gaylord ICE

The Gaylord is BEAUTIFUL & even more so during Christmas time! They have lights everywhere, beautiful trees, large Christmas arrangements, an awesome Santa, & the famous ICE exhibit!

Of course my kids LOVED the decorated deer!Waiting to enter the ICE exhibitThey are bundled up & ready to see the ICE!Each year is a different theme, this year was SHREK! All the sculptures are made of 100% ICE! It is amazing to see! The kids favorite part of the ICE exhibit was the ICE slide! They LOVED this thing, going up & down about a dozen times.
(Zane is on the left & Berkley is sliding down sideways on the right.)The Gaylord has a beautiful fireplace, several sitting areas, restaurants, hotel rooms, conference rooms, shops, etc. I think it is very much what an indoor, upscale Riverwalk would look like.

Little Nell

Little Nell has joined our family! I'm not sure where the kids got his name but they named him, & they are not too thrilled with him hanging around our home!

Berkley said something ugly & remembered that Little Nell was watching & would be reporting her behavior back to Santa! Uh-oh!

Zane got one!

Zane got his first deer! He was not too excited at first because it was a doe rather than a buck but after some talking with daddy, he's pumped! Someones bringing deer meat to the freezer! This kid lives for hunting! I was so excited for him when I got the text message from Patrick letting me know he got one! Love this boy & so glad his hard work & patience has paid off!
